1. Psalm 5:3 (NIV)
"In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."
It is so important to begin every day with prayer and meditation, especially during finals! With praying to God every morning, you can begin your day with a more positive outlook. It is amazing to know that God listens to your every want and need. I promise you, God is always listening to you and he understands how stressed or worried you may be. With that being said, let the worry go! God's got you and you got this!
2. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Every step throughout our life is already determined by our gracious Heavenly Father, so why worry about our future? This verse should help relieve every college student's anxieties such as" Will I ever graduate?" and "Will I even Pass?" When you strive to do your best and be the best Christian you can be, God will guide you. And, these finals, believe it or not, are a part of God's plan too. So take this exam as a way to show off the brain that God gave you for your journey to live for Him!
3. Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
"...Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous . Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. "
Sometimes, you may feel like you are alone in this big ol' world, especially during this stressful week of studying. I spent most of my day isolated from every human being trying to study for my exams. Of course, I felt alone. But then I thought of this verse, and peace overwhelmed me. No matter where I am at or what I am doing, God is with me ans will ALWAYS help me when I call upon His name!
4. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
This verse speaks for itself. Give of your worries and test anxiety to God! He will take care of you!
5. Proverbs 17:22 (NIV)
"A cheerful heart is good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Studying can be very boring and very time consuming. I get it, trust me! With that being said, it is so important to maybe take 30 minutes to an hour to take time to just relax and be with family friends. Take the time to account for all the blessings God has given you. It will definitely give you that extra boost for studying later!
