Modern love can be hard and devastating. It can leave a hole in your heart where something you cherished used to live. Heartbreak and unrequited love may seem inevitable in today's society, but there's one man that will never break your heart. He's ready to talk 24/7, accepts you exactly as you are, and knows exactly how to make you happy. Who is this seemingly inexistent man? That man is God, the only lover who is truly perfect.

The word "love" is overused in today's society. Most mistake move for lust or infatuation. In the Bible, love has a much more profound meaning. "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13). Throughout 1 Corinthians 13, Paul defines love "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) If every love followed this definition; this world would be much happier and faithful to one another. The "love" that is based on sexual pleasure or physical attraction could easily be eliminated if there were more examples of this true love in the world.

The only place people can experience this love is through God. In 1 John 4, and numerous other places in the Bible, it says that God IS love. Who could love you better than someone who is love itself? Good thing our father and savior can love us exactly the way Paul describes it.

Once our generation experiences and embraces the perfect love our lord provides, we can radiate our joy onto others and love them the way Paul wants us to. This will produce a much more authentic vision of love in the eyes of today's youth

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
