Beyoncè is a multitalented artist. She’s a singer, song-writer, and actress. Queen Bey will be joining Donald Glover (Simba), James Earl Jones (Mufasa), Alfre Woodard (Sarahi), and a plethora of other talented actors on the live action “Lion King” remake as Nala. The remake is set to debut in 2019. Here’s three reasons why I can’t wait for the remake.
1. The cast is phenomenal
The cast includes: Donald Glover (Simba), Beyonce (Nala), James Earl Jones (Mufasa), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar, Alfre Woodard (Sarabi), John Oliver (Zazu), John Kani (Rafiki), Seth Rogen (Pumba), Billy Eichner (Timon), Eric Andre (Azizi), Florence Kasumba (Shenzi), Keegan Michael Key (Kamari), JD McCrary (Young Simba), and Shahadi Wright Joseph (Young Nala).
2. The soundtrack will be incredible
Having Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) and Beyonce singing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor singing "Be Prepared" gives me all the feels.
3. The cast is diverse
Majority of the cast is black making it one of the most predominantly black casts for a Disney movie ever. This is very important because it shows that Disney is making strides to be more inclusive.
