I lived in Mississippi for the past eleven years, and I have to say, though has made for some great memories with friends I've grown up with since middle school, sometimes I just need some time to explore places outside of home. As I've grown up and learned about the world around me, so has my interest in exploring the world and seeing beyond the average everyday life that goes on my town. In fact, there have been six places in particular I have been interested in visiting, whether they are around the country or around the globe.

1. Los Angeles

If you know me, this is perhaps a no-brainer. I have wanted to visit Los Angeles for a long time, the capital of the entertainment industry, the home of many Hollywood studios, and place with beautiful landmarks lying within nearly every corner.

2. Italy

The Italian food, the lavish looking downtown areas, the beautiful coastal spots gleaming under the sunshine, Italy seems like the place worthy saving thousands of dollars up to visit.

3. Hong Kong

China is a fascinating place with a fascinating culture, and that's not even mention how luxurious the city looks or how much I love their food.

4. Tokyo

The home of the some of the world's most innovative and groundbreaking technology, Tokyo is a place of many wonders and surprises that makes me curious how it has become the place of some of the most successful citizens in the world.

I've always imagined this paradise as my dream vacation for my honey moon, a sunny beach where the waters are clear and the sun sets beautifully in the horizon.

6. New York City

Probably the perfect place to visit on New Years Eve, that is if I can deal with the crowd. What a wonder I would to be to see a live performance while awaiting for the ball to drop in the Big Apple.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
