The Fashion Show Before The Official Fashion Week: The Grammys

There were some good outfits and some were...questionable.

Fashion is constantly evolving, not just during the seasons but every day, honestly. Whether its oversized t-shirts with wide leg trousers or off-the-shoulder button-ups with embroidery jeans, it's never the same. Every year, I always look forward to the Grammys because it allows celebrities to stunt on the red carpet. Regardless of what anyone says, the red carpet is the runway before fashion week, you have to go hard or go home; because you will get talked about by the press and the fans.

Some celebrities keep it traditional, two-piece suits with fitted pants or gowns from high-end designers. However, this year a few artists keep it quite casual. I'm not opposed to celebrities sporting causal styles (I personally prefer it) but there's a time and place for everything. If an outfit is rocked a certain way while incorporating more of a "casual" feel then that's fine, otherwise, dress to impress--show everyone what you can bring to the table.

I was not that impressed with the looks for the Grammys this year, no one really stood out.

Here's my breakdown of the "hit" or "misses" for the award show tonight.

1. Lil Uzi Vert

Now, I rock with Lil Uzi, I do but I'm not feeling this at all. His style is that of a rock star mixed with street style elements, but this being his first time at the Grammys he should have made a statement other than the one he intended with this outfit.

2. Big Sean

Sean Don, very well done, sir. The Indigo suit with the overcoat to match and the black turtleneck to top it off? Perfect.

3. Ashanti

Bodied the game. Murdered the scene. Eve was the best dressed tonight, this is not debatable.

5. Jaden Smith

He killed it last year. If he wore this anywhere else besides the Grammys then it would have been valid, but for tonight, it's a no for me.

6. Bebe Rexha

Although she had a wardrobe malfunction, she played it off very smooth. I love the detail and color of this dress, the unstructured bob tops it off perfectly.

7. Heidi Klum

I like this but then again I don't. I wish her hair was different.

8. Shy Glizzy

I was extremely proud to see Shy Glizzy at the Grammys this year. His Dior Homme suit fit perfectly.

9. Cyndi Lauper

I like the suit but they way this was put together just throws it all off. It's a no for me.

10. Sam Smith

Very talented vocalist, but this outfit does nothing for him at all.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
