I am a firm believer in no Christmas until after Thanksgiving is over. Turkey, pie, and a humble heart deserves it’s very own time and place, and I have a ton of fond memories from this special Thursday in November.

But now that November 23rd has come and gone with the rest of 'em, it’s time to spread that Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear! Due to the fact that making playlists is my life’s calling (seriously, let me make playlists for you), my ears and I have done some extensive research to find the best holiday tunes and make the perfect soundtrack to rock around the Christmas tree to!

Allow me to present to you my “25 Days of Christmas 25 Holla Day Bangers” (name patent pending) Playlist!

1. All I want for Christmas is You X Mariah Carey (Obviously)

2. Carol of The Bells X Pentatonix

3. It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas X Michael Bublé

4. The Christmas Waltz X Frank Sinatra (my personal favorite Christmas song ever)

5. It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year X Andy Williams

6. Blue Christmas X The King (For clarification, Elvis Presley)

7. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas X She and Him

8. Silver Bells X Dean Martin

9. Silent Night X Pentatonix

10. O Come All Ye Faithful X Lauren Daigle

11. Oh Holy Night X Kelly Clarkson (since you’ve been gone @ Satan)

12. 12 Days of Christmas X Straight No Chaser (quite humorous)

13. Winter Wonderland X Bing Crosby

14. Sleigh Ride X The Ronettes

15. Joy To The World X Francesca Battistelli

16. White Christmas X Michael Bublé
(Duet with Shania Twain)

17. Santa Baby X Eartha Kitt

18. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) X Darlene Love

19. Winter Wonderland X Bing Crosby

20. You Make Me Feel So Young X Frank Sinatra (not an actual Christmas song, but it totally is because of its association with the movie Elf)

21. On This Winter’s Night X Lady Antebellum

22. Let it Snow X She and Him

23. Baby it’s Cold Outside X Idina Menzel (with who else other than Michael Bublé)

24. Jingle Bells X Lauren Daigle

25. I’ll Be Home For Christmas X Frank Sinatra

Full stomachs, cold noses, can't lose! I wish every single person reading this the happiest, most joyous, merriest Christmas in the whole world, and I hope you find yourself home for the holidays, whatever that looks like for you.

I hope you laugh a lot, eat a lot, and are bursting at the seams with love for those around you as well as yourself.

Christ the Savior is born, and that alone is reason enough to throw on your festive fuzzy socks and dance and sing your heart out as if no one is watching! I hope you keep Him at the center of your December as well as the center of your life. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
