Everyone, no matter who they are tends to gravitate towards certain people. As humans we tend to gravitate towards people that we like and people that we can connect with. The people that we gravitate towards do not always have to be the same age, race, or gender as we are.

I am not going to lie, some of my best friends are four years old. I work with children on a daily basis, so they are the majority of the people that I am around. Here are some reasons why 4-year old's make for the best of friends.

1. They are sweet

They care about you a lot. If they see that you have a scrape on your knee, they will immediately be very concerned. They will also ask a lot of questions about how you cut your knee open. If they do not see you for a long time, they will be extremely excited to see you again.

2. They are very curious

They are new to the world, so every experience is brand new to them. They ask a lot of questions, not only about physical objects but about the world around them. They always want to know where you are going, why you are going there, and the purpose of it.

3. They are funny and entertaining

They have a very active imagination. They always make up the silliest games. They like to play pretend and turn into different people or different characters. They can easily entertain themselves, within seconds they can find something to play with and use their imagination to turn it into a completely different object.

4. You have an impact on them

Sometimes they can be selfish, but this gives you the opportunity to teach them things like sharing. You have the opportunity to make them either love you or hate you, depending on how you treat them. They tend to copy your actions and what you say. That is why you should always watch what you do and say around children. You can teach them kindness and what it is like to love others. Having a positive influence will help them to grow up to be good people.

5. They love a lot

If you are in their lives at all, they will love you. If you love them, they will love you in return. They have big hearts and care for others. They do need to be taught how to love others at times, but they are usually so caring. There is no better feeling than seeing a child from across the room and them running as fast as they can to you with a huge smile on their face.

Children are the sweetest and most caring people. They have a lot of curiosity and wild imaginations. They are always entertaining. If you are having a bad day, they will be there for you. They may not always understand, but they will be there to make you smile. Do not take the little ones for granted. They are the future, all they need to be shown is love.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
