When I was younger, my Mom would always tell me that a good friend is hard to find. She always told me to be careful with who I choose as a friend.
In middle school, I met my best friend. She had just moved to my school. We were completely opposite. We would talk off and on until our friendship grew. To this day, we're more like sisters. We're always there for each other no matter what.
In class, we'd always sit beside each other. We'd get in trouble because we wouldn't shut up. Those conversations consisted of Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. Even if the teacher moved one of us to the opposite side of the classroom, we'd still find a way to communicate.
We've shared so many fun times and memories together. Remember when we HAD to have those glitter Vans at Journey's in the Mall of Georgia? We thought we were so cool with those shoes. Or what about the time we went to Washington D.C. and we copied our tour guide (Brandon!). There are so many more fun times I could mention but this would be a long article.
I'm very thankful that you and your family moved to Munford. I finally have a friend that I know will be there for me through thick and thin. Our families have grown so close over the years. We basically have second families.
Next August, we will be friends for 10 years! That's a long time to put up with me! Even my mom thinks that.
I just want you to know how thankful I am to call you my best friend. One day, we'll be two little old ladies causing problems in a nursing home (I'll probably be the one causing the most trouble).
I have a piece of advice for the young people. Find a best friend like mine. You will not regret it.
