We all have that one friend in our group who we feel we cannot go without. She is the loud, out going, care free friend that holds everyone together. No matter what she has going on, she will drop everything to help any of her friends even though it means putting herself second. We tend to love and adore those types of friends because as we know in today’s world they are very hard to find, but do we ever really stop and think how that friend really feels?
Just think about if the roles were switched, would you be just as good of a friend to them? Do you ask them if they need any advice, how their day was, or even if they need a time to let anything off their chest?
We often get so wrapped up in ourselves that we tend to forget the one person who is always there to listen to all our problems, comes up with solutions, and is always our shoulder to cry on without question or judgement.
I encourage everyone to reach out to that friend in their group and switch it up for a few days maybe even a week. Be their shoulder to cry on, ears when they feel they need to vent, or just simply be just a good of friend to them as they are to you on a daily basis. I guarantee you they will feel that much more loved, appreciated, and your bond will grow even stronger.
