Here's Why Group Exercise Classes Are Such A Gamechanger

Let's be real here. Some people do not like to exercise, and then there are some people who love it. Then there are some people who exercise not because they fee obligated but they want to be kind to their body's and there are the people who exercise because it is a stress reliever. I exercise because I want to keep my body healthy.

The majority of the time that I am at the gym is three to four times a week which is a healthy amount. But usually, while I am there, it's for group exercise. I do Zumba twice a week and a spin class once a week. Other than that I'm just on the elliptical, and doing ab workouts, and leg workouts, and weight workouts. Zumba is a stress reliever for me because it is fun to just move around and let loose.

I am here to give you some reasons why I think group exercise is beneficial for people who want to workout and also have fun at the same time!

One reason group exercise is beneficial is because the instructor of the class motivates you to the best version of yourself while working out. S/he wants you to challenge yourself and test your limits. Heck, I totally see this in my spin class every Thursday night. My instructor tells us all to add gears until we're up to 20 gears. He wants us to challenge ourselves, and I am glad for that. Sometimes working out alone can be hard because there's no one else there to motivate you.

Going to fitness classes will help you manage your time and help you become more regular at the gym. Group fitness classes are not about losing weight; they are about having fun, and being healthy which is what everyone should be. Healthy. Being healthy is so important. It is not about the size of your jeans; it's about spending at least an hour a day being active whether is it walking or joining a yoga class, or kick boxing class.

If you never stepped foot in a group exercise class, then I encourage you all to try a class you may be interested in. Once you fall in love with an exercise class whether it be Zumba of Spin, you'll be excited for that Monday or Thursday when the class is in session. So go on now, go sign up for a class!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
