Sometimes 16 is as sweet as the party

Some days it's sour,

and some days it's salty.

Some days I'm thriving

Some days I'm crying

Some days I cry myself to sleep

A guy, a car, or feeling overall defeat.

Some days are wacky

Some days I wish I could delete

Then there are others,

That knock me off my feet.

There are ones

Where I feel on cloud nine

Dancing , smiling, laughing

So happy I could cry.

Sometimes I feel better

and sometimes I feel worse

Some days people hurt me,

some days I just feel cursed.

Then there are better

Then there are worse

Some days are meant for lessons,

That I was meant to learn.

I always remember why I am here

Through smiles, laughter, happiness, and even through tears

I remember; I have purpose

People love me and they care.

Some days I'm breathless

I'm overwhelmed with joy

Some days I kinda feel

Like just a toy.

I've loved some boys

That haven't loved me back

But for that I'm grateful,

I know there is nothing that I lack.

Some days are better

Some days are worse

But all I know for sure is

I will carry forth.

I don't know that much

I'm still figuring it out

But all I know for sure is

I will find my route.

Some days are hard,

I've cried and I've lost

But when my heart is bursting with passion and with love I decide to carry on,

No matter what the cost.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
