You Don't Need A Relationship To Feel Loved During The Holidays

The holidays are a time full of love and happiness. But what if you are single and do not have anyone to share all that love and happiness with? Being single during the holidays can be hard. You don't have a significant other to do all the fun couple holiday things with. It is hard to see all the couples around you having fun and in love. Here are some things to remember to be happier in your singleness during the holidays.

Being single during the holidays can be a little easier if you realize that you have people around you who love you and care about you. You have your family around you who all love you. Spend time with your family and the people that you are close to. You may not have a significant other, but you are still loved by so many people. The holidays are about spending quality time with your loved ones. Do not take your family for granted because they love you very much and you should give them that love in return.

Spend some time with your friends as well. Surround yourself with the people who make you happy. Do not sit and dwell in your singleness. Embrace your freedom, go out and have fun with your friends. You do not have anyone holding you back. You are free to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Enjoy your time off of school and work to spend time with your friends and the people that make you happy and you enjoy being around. You do not need to be in a relationship to be happy. Find happiness in your other relationships.

Do not sit in sadness and dwell on the fact that you are not in a relationship and that you don't have anyone to share the holiday festivities with. Instead, make the most of it. Enjoy the holiday festivities with other people that you care about whether it be your family or your friends. If you feel bad for yourself and sit in sadness, your holidays will not be enjoyable at all, so do everything that you can to enjoy the holidays and realize that one day you will be able to spend the holidays with the person that you love and you will be in a relationship at some point but now is not that time, but your time will come soon enough.

While you are on a break from all of your responsibilities, make sure to take time for yourself and do things that you enjoy. Practice self-care. Take care of your mind and your body. This is the time to get some rest and take care of yourself when you do not have to worry about school or work or anything that causes an immense amount of stress.

Being single can be hard at times especially during the holidays. There a lot of couple events and couples in love around you and it is hard to be in the middle of all of it while you are single, but you have to realize that you still have people who love you and your significant other will come when the time is right, it just takes patience.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
