Even though I am not a top-notch photographer, photography is a strong passion of mine. Each piece of photography or even a work of art has its own inspiration. However, every piece is open for interpretation too.
Tender Boat Ride.

I'm not stalking people, I swear.
I was with my boyfriend in Center Park, New York city when I took this photo. This boat ride was $35 dollars with the return of $20 dollars if you would bring the boat back to the dock. (Guess people like to steal boats). Taking this photo it made me realize that even though it is a simple boat ride around a pond; it is probably the sweetest idea ever. Being in a relationship it sometimes makes you forget that even the littlest things can be the most romantic. Buying your significant other flowers or candy, offering your jacket to them on a cold evening, or rocking out to your favorite tunes in the car. Yes, the boat ride was technically $15 dollars but isn't it worth a $15 dollar smile from your lover.
This also reminds me of "The Notebook". However, I have never seen "The Notebook"... Please don't hate me.
Power of Nature.

Nature never ceases to amaze me. Just how amazing nature can be the provider and the destroyer of everything. I took this photo also while I was in New York at the JFK Marina and Park. I was inspired to take this photo because of how the waves have worn down this piece of glass; how the piece of glass used to be so harmful with sharp edges is now something beautiful.
Let The Adventure Begin.

I know I might be a little weird, but I really enjoy going to places that are abandoned. There's something mystical and nostalgic about what took place in that area. This is an abandoned turnpike; you can walk and bike through this tunnel. It has been ravaged by graffiti. (Some good and some not so good). This turnpike is a 13.5 mile stretch of road and is surrounded by woodland. It's an amazing experience to be there and definitely an amazing adventure. At the head of the tunnel, the sun was shining through and my friend were up ahead of me and it gave me the most amazing or new frontier look.
Little Guy.

This guy was so small that I almost did not see him sniffing around for food....annnd almost stepped on him, but we are going to ignore that part. Luckily, he stayed put for me. It amazed me how calm he was and even though I was really close to him. Most wild animals that come to close contact either run away or try to attack you. Yet, this little guy sat there and had his meal.
Adam's Ale.

I find water to be the purest thing in the world. It's cleansing to watch or use or to drink. When I walk by a body of water I spend a lot of time just staring at the small ripples or waves. The leaves that float by or the tiniest fish swimming below. It's peaceful. It's calming. Taking this photo I was walking around the lake just watching the water. It was cloudy out and very little sun showing through; there was a slight wind blowing and it was just a perfect evening. So, why not try to take a perfect picture.
Old Man.

This is my old man and I adore him; he's my big bundle of fluff and joy. Sebastian is his name and he has been with me since I was a little girl. I adore him and I will always adore him. This photo I took of him was to cherish that yes, he is getting old. There are gray and white hairs all over his handsome head, but he will always be my pup.
Simple Things.

One of my favorite pastimes is to go on hikes and see the creations or beauties of nature. Some beauties can be large landscapes that stretch as far as the eyes can see. Or small things like this pine cone. I was going on a hike up a mountain I saw this singular pine cone hang out of the tree.
Fall Begins.

I LOVE FALL...*cough,cough* sorry. As I get older I am realizing that fall is my favorite season. It's like a photographer's dreamland. I took this photo because of the pure love of fall. You get to see nature work her magic and create beautiful canvas for photographers, artists, or everyone.
The Things In Life.

If you couldn't tell I like to take pictures of small things. In this world we are always surrounded with the idea of dream big. While the big picture is the ending result; we sometimes forget that there are small steps that we need to take to get to that big dream. Like how a baby needs to crawl in order to walk. Baby steps.
Don't forget where you came from.

I came from a very small town; everyone knew you and you knew them. My town was surrounded by farm land. Just looking out of high school class window I could see a cow eating in the pasture. I used to hate saying I was from a small farming community, but I feel by being in this type of environment it allowed me to appreciate nature. I took this photo because whether or not you hate your hometown you're going to see bits and pieces of it everywhere you go. It's in that hometown is where you experienced many different events. Prom, first love, first job, or even maybe that first amazing bite of pumpkin pie.
While this is a compilation of the inspirations of my photography, I do have another inspiration for photography. Our world is constantly recording and documenting what is around us. From birth to death. Around 1.8 billion photographs are taken each and every day. There will be times where I have my camera with me but not a single artistic shot will be taken. None. I want to live this moment. There are so many times I find myself taking photographs that now that I look back at them I have no real reason behind why I shot them. I feel as if I forgot to live in the moment and just snapped a photo as if it was nothing. It's okay to put your camera down and just breathe around you. To live that moment through the lens of your eyes.
