If you’re like most people, you probably spend the last few minutes of your days staring at your phone screen. I’m here to offer you a better alternative, in order to get a great night’s sleep!
1. Stretch.
Even if it’s just for a few minutes, stretching releases stress and tension on your muscles and can work wonders.
2. Take a shower or bath.
If this doesn’t relax you or put you in the bedtime mood, I don’t know what will. Make it a hot one.
3. Wash your face.
Splash some water on it. Rid yourself of the day’s toxins.
4. Brush your teeth.
Keep those pearly whites pearly white!
5. Moisturize.
Especially during these cold months, it’s important to stay hydrated.
6. Put on clean socks.
The cozier, the better.
7. Turn your phone off.
...or at least put it in airplane mode. It’s time to unwind; the last thing you want is to be interrupted by that Instagram notification.
8. Set an alarm.
Your productivity for the next day begins at night. Start it on a positive note, on time.
9. Lay out clothes for the next day.
Pick out something you like. Less work for you to do in the morning.
10. Review planner & to-dos.
Program your mind to the next day’s activities.
11.Read a chapter of a book.
Reading boosts brain power. Plus, when else are you going to have/make time for it?
Winding down at night should be a peaceful experience, enjoy it.
