The past two nights have totally shaken Bachelor Nation to its core.
I am late to the obsession of the Bachelor franchise, but no less obsessed as some of the biggest fans. I hate that I am, but that's why they call it a guilty please. Am I right?
From the beginning Becca K. has been one of my top faves, that is next to Caroline and Tia.
Unfortunately I am a ridiculous human being at times and I indulged on some of Reality Steve's spoilers, therefore I knew that ultimately Becca K. would receive the final rose. Judge me.
Jk, please don't. I promised myself I wouldn't ruin her season for myself.
However, I was so excited about getting to watch this beautiful soul on her journal knowing that she would receive the final rose and live happily ever after- or so I thought.
I, like most of the nation, was unaware that she would go through the most dramatic and overwhelming event in Bachelor history. I was heartbroken for her.
I will not claim to know whether producers had a hand in any of this as far as it being a setup, but what I will say is that I believe that this was a woman who signed up to find love- true and genuine love. If you watched and saw her journal throughout the season then you know what I am talking about.
Though I cannot fault Arie (or Lauren) for ultimately following their hearts and reconciling, I will agree to what he and every other Bachelor obsessed fan is saying- and that is that he should have never proposed. While no, he cannot take that back I do agree that the way he acted was monstrous no matter how many times he apologizes.
Becca K., you are a true gem who entered this journey to find love and what I saw was a woman who was genuinely seeking that. You did not deserve to be treated the way that you were or have you heart crushed for the world to see completely raw and unedited. But thank you for handling a terrible situation with such grace, class, and beauty giving girls and women all around the world someone to look up to.
The entire Bachelor franchise waited in anticipation for the new Bachelorette announcement. I, along with others, hoped that it would be you as there is no doubt that you are in it for the long haul. Your ambitions for having a family is evident. I am so overjoyed that this did not ruin you. You may have been completely robbed of your first ever proposal and I am heartbroken for you over that, but your story is far from over and God is faithful and He provides.
I pray that as you are getting ready to begin your journey as the Bachelorette that you close this door for good and embrace what is next.
We, Bachelor nation, are so excited to see you thrive as the Bachelorette. I cannot wait to see the beautiful love story that unfolds for you. I may not know you personally, but what I witnessed on television was a true gem. I am ecstatic that you get another chance at love, but this time a true love who is faithful to you.
Also, I am going to go ahead throw this out there that i'm already rooting for #teamBlake and #teamBrian
