Recently, I have come down with a severe case of beachitis- longing for every aspect of the beach. The sand in my hair, the waves crashing into my toes, the sun soaking into my skin- there is nothing that the beach cannot cure.
We run to the beach with all of our problems, hoping to figure something out. There is something about being on the edge, not knowing what is in front of you that gives a great parallel to life itself. We all make it through winter knowing that summer is coming, when we can let go of everything and feel free.
By sitting on the beach, it gives you immense perspective on life. All of the little things start to fade in the background and a calm comes over you. All of your worries can be left behind for that short moment. We have time to truly value what is in front of us and how precious life is. When nothing is sure, we run to the shore.
