Be The Change You Think The World Needs

Change is something that when we are going through it; it can seem like a never-ending obstacle that is lagging. Change is something that tests your strength not only mentally but physically, courage, and faith in the future with what it might hold for you.

Changes can come in so many different forms; it can be in school, family, friends, even various jobs. There is truly no labeling change, or categorizing what the outcome of the change might be. And as many know the unknown is something that can bring fear and doubt to the human heart; this is why I want everybody to strive to change the way we handle changes from here on out. Do not focus on what the change is going to bring, it is doing or how long it might take; instead focus on allowing the change to shape you into a better a brighter person tomorrow. Sometimes if we focus in on the minor detail, we miss what the big detail truly is and sometimes that is the best part of it all.

YOU are the start of change and what change has the ability to be and do in your life. You have the ability to let change ruin your life, or shape it into the dream life that you have always wanted. I am here to tell you that if you are experiencing a change that feels like you are out of control or not sure how the ending product will be than remember three simple steps:

1. Focus on the future.

2. Stand tall in the midst of the change.

3. Look forward to all the change will bring.

Now look the change right in the eye and stay strong because you are the change that the world needs and should have. You are one decision away from making today better and different; so take that first step and Be. The. Change.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
