8 Times You Should Be More Like Your Boyfriend
NY Daily News

At first glance, that piece of advice sounds like the most condescending thing you've ever heard, but trust me, it's actually great advice. So many girls complain about their boyfriend's approach to many life instances, but in reality, maybe we are the ones who don't have the best approach.

Here are the things we need to learn from our bae and put into practice in 2017:

1. Don't stress the small stuff.

Women tend to stress over the smallest things. We worry, we get anxious, we get upset more easily than we should. Women often criticize their men for not caring enough, but maybe they have it right. Stop caring too much. Stop overthinking things, take them as they are and as they come and don't waste your energy over things that are out of your control. Just relax.

2. Eat the damn pizza.

Girls put so much pressure on themselves in the new year to get a rockin' body and stick to their diet. While you should totally love your body and treat it well, don't deprive yourself fully. Eat the freakin' pizza with your boyfriend from time to time. You don't have to be so hard on yourself.

3. Don't be so high maintenance.

I mean that in the nicest way possible. You don't have to spend hours getting ready. You don't have to get all dressed up to be beautiful. He tells you that you are beautiful just the way you are and you should take that to heart and listen to him.You don't have to look like the girls on Instagram. You are enough. You are so enough. Believe him.

4. Stop worrying about pictures and just be in the moment.

Women want pictures all the time, of anything and everything. Stop worrying about pictures and captions and just experience life with the one you love.

5. Put your phone down.

Stop trolling social media and be in the moment. Be present.

6. Don't gossip.

You don't see your boyfriend gossiping about people, so follow that example and don't do it. You can vent, we all do that, but try not to make a habit of talking about others.

7. Don't care about what other people think.

Guys really don't care about what others think, so why should we?

8. Don't take things so personally.

Don't let one little thing ruin your mood for the whole day. Don't take everything to heart. Let it roll off your back. Don't dwell on the negatives.

This doesn't mean that you're doing it all wrong. It just means that we would be happier people if we could accept some of our boyfriend's ways into our hearts. Let 2017 be the year that we all worry less, don't let the small stuff ruin our mood, and the year that we all live in the moment.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
