Here we have five tips for starting out in basketball as a beginner. We hope you gain value from them.

1. Get a Good Pair of Basketball Shoes

The first and foremost thing that you need to do is get a good pair of basketball shoes that provide the right cushioning and traction, with an appropriate level of comfort.
You wouldn't want to start out in basketball and be injured in your first game. Get a good pair of basketball shoes so that you get decent ankle support and so that you can play for long hours without putting much weight on your blameless feet.

2. Become Physically Fit

Basketball is a highly physical sport. You need to be physically fit, have the right body and adequate physique from head to toe. The only way you can be physically fit is if you are eating right and are exercising regularly to get in shape.
The better your stamina and will power will be, the better you'll be able to perform at the ground. You'll need a lot of energy, vigor, and vitality to play in your best spirit which can only be accomplished if you are physically fit and are flexible enough to show great performance.

3. Practice Your Shooting Skills

Basketball is all about shooting the ball and getting it right inside that basket. If you have great shooting skills, then you are considered the king of basketball and vice versa. If you want to improve your shooting skills, you need to practice… hard!
There is no easy way to learn shooting without giving it your best. Only by practicing, you'll get to learn new techniques. Additionally, you'll also learn how to control and manage your body to get the best out of it.Remember, players who have come this far have only reached the peak of success by being fully committed and practicing day and night to perfect their skills

4. Study Other Players

There are a lot of successful basketball players. A few of the notable basketball players in this field are LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan, and Kevin Durrant. You can simply watch their games online and see the tricks and techniques that they follow. Focus on their style of running, bouncing and shooting the ball. Keep a sharp eye on every move that they make and study the whys and how's of their movements. Make notes on their vertical jumping, dribbling and figure out how they control their body. Do your homework on how they manage to perform so well in their team and get the right direction while being on the ground. Learn the defensive tactics, and improve your own attacking strategies by learning from the best.

5. Warm-up before Every Game

It is always advised to warm up your body before you play a basketball game. Warming up improves your overall body temperature, boosts up your energy and levels up your ability to be more flexible. Additionally, it makes you more focused and drilled by charging you up for the game, enabling you to become the most valued basketball player in your team.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
