It's that time of year again when everyone in your family asks what you want for Christmas and you have no clue what to tell them. I never know what to ask for and I never know what to get people. Lucky for you here is a list of basic Christmas gifts you can never go wrong with.

Gift Cards

You can never go wrong with a gift card. If you know the person well enough to know where they shop a gift card paired with their favorite candy is a perfect, simple gift guaranteed to make them happy.

Loose Leaf Tea or Coffee

I am a huge tea drinker, and nice tea tends to be expensive. Buy a gift set from David's Tea or Teavana and pair it with a mug or to-go cup. If they prefer coffee, just switch out the tea gift set for a coffee sampler for the same result.

Shower and Bath Goodies

Lush goodies are the best goodies. A bath bomb or bubble bar are always great gifts, but Lush's shower gel is also super nice if you know they do not have a bath. Scented lotions and loofas are also fun and last longer.

Comfy Clothes

Whether you buy team gear, or just something cute sweaters, sweatshirts and socks are great if you want to get someone something more personalized. Everyone loves having an extra cute sweatshirt laying around, or comfy socks to put on with boots on a rainy day.

Snacks

Food or candy is always a guaranteed win, especially if you know what they like. Pair this with any of the other gifts on this list to bulk up a smaller present.

Makeup

Buy them something they probably feel too guilty spending money on like a nice chapstick or lipgloss, a basic palette or a gift set. Ulta and Sephora have great gift sets that let you sample lots of products if you don't know what you love or what they love.

Facemasks

Facemasks are super in right now, meaning there are 6 million of them in stores. Buy a variety of peel-off masks, sheet masks, traditional masks and scrubs to make a custom gift set.

Travel Cups

Everyone could use another tumbler, water bottle, flask, or to-go mug. Starbucks as well as Kate Spademake adorable ones or order something personalized if you have more time on your hands.

Subscription Service

Buy them a monthly subscription that you know they use. Netflix , Spotify Premium, and Ipsy all make great gifts, and the bonus is they are reminded of it every month.

Hopefully, you found some of these suggestions helpful so you don't procrastinate buying gifts like I always do. Good luck with all your gift shopping!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
