In a sea of makeup stores, it can be really overwhelming to navigate your way through when back to school shopping. These simple products are great for all makeup skill levels and the perfect pieces to add to your new or already established collection.

BarePRO Performance Wear Pressed Powder Foundation

One of my go-to makeup products is powder. I had a guy at my local makeup store pull this powder down for me after my favorite was discontinued. I don’t have a lot of experience with Bare Minerals products so I was a little hesitant about taking this powder home. I had a bad skin break out going on so I backed off wearing a lot of makeup for a few days at work. I applied this powder with a tinted moisturizer and everyone was commenting on how good my skin looked. My redness from the breakouts was totally gone, the coverage was there with a natural finish and my skin cleared up in a few days with no issues from the product. I’ve barely been wearing my usual foundation and only wearing this powder for hot or lazy days this summer.

Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done

For those sweaty move in days or back to school rallies, Urban Decay One and Done has been my savior this summer. A super easy natural look with SPF 20 to protect your skin from the sun. I found this after talking to an Urban Decay rep about their new product line. She told me it was Urban's version of a tinted moisturizer and since I am a girl with dry skin and a busy schedule, I couldn't not try it. I am already a huge fan of Urban's Naked line but this could be my favorite product I have tried from it.

Quick tip: Use it bare or add a powder on top of it for some more coverage.

NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick

I was cautious hesitant trying this product after swatching it in the store and seeing how strong the pigmentation is. I recently fell in love with a very overpriced but beautiful liquid highlighter so I wanted to experiment more in the cream/liquid department with a much more affordable option. These illuminating sticks absolutely met my expectations. I have only tried the coralicious shade but I will definitely be looking into purchasing different ones in the future. The perfect product to add a little shimmer to your every day or evening look.

Quick tip: Use your fingers to blend in the product thoroughly when applying. It will create a natural looking sun kissed look!

Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray

Prep spray. Setting spray. Refresh my face spray. THIS IS EVERYTHING YOU WILL EVER NEED. I am obsessed with rose skin care products due to the smell and skin benefits so I picked this up at the check out line last minute. I had no idea that the man Mario Badescu would change my life forever. Mario, my man, has one of my most favorite and affordable skin care lines of all time but this product is a must have!

Quick tip: Keep the bottle in your refrigerator to cool your skin down on those smokin' hot days.

The best beauty secret for a fabulous new school year is to be confident and true to your own style. We are constantly surrounded by beauty gurus who can make you feel out of place if you don't look exactly like them. There are no such things as miracle products and something that may work for everyone else might not work for you. I have dry skin so I struggled for a long time finding my own makeup products since I couldn't use a lot of the popular brands because they were tailored towards oily skin. You have to find what works for you and which products make you feel good about yourself. Always remember that you are beautiful with or without makeup no matter what anybody or any company may try to tell you. Embrace the things that make you different and find a routine that works best for your lifestyle. Don't be afraid to try new things this year and show off that jaw dropping smile.
