It’s laughable how about a week ago nobody thought that we would be out of school for more than a week, let alone 2 weeks. Once news was released that students would be out until the 25th, almost every student had the same reaction…"What now?”

This mandatory evacuation news caused many students to immediately change locations. Some went back home, some went to visit friends at their respective colleges, and some even decided to stay in Florida. Although students settled in a temporary location, schoolwork still loomed over them. Do you continue living the college lifestyle and worry about your work when you get back to school? Or do you just pretend school is still ongoing and get your work done immediately?

Whatever the answer was, students figured out a way to keep up with their work. Although it may take a week or two for everyone to be comfortable in the classroom again, students are definitely pleased to be back on campus for the moment. Finally students can settle in to their clubs, sports teams, or other groups and prepare for the rest of the semester.

Thanks to the hurricane, UM is essentially hitting restart on the school year. Now that we're back in Miami again, we're just hoping we stay here for good this time.
