'The Bachelorette' Night One Recap: Clare's Journey Begins!

**SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT READ ON UNLESS YOU'VE WATCHED EPISODE ONE OF CLARE'S BACHELORETTE SEASON**

Clare's journey started this past Monday and, wow, am I so happy I'm not one of those guys that got booted night one!

Normally going home night one is a big 'ol punch to the face, but imagine putting your life on hold (in more ways than one during these ~unprecedented times~ just to get sent home. After all the quarantining and covid tests. Dang.

Hey everyone! Welcome to my series I'm going to be starting during Bach season where I recap and give my opinions on how things are going this season! Make sure you've watched the episodes (since we're bi-monthly here at Odyssey, my articles will be covering two episodes at a time from this point on) and come ready with your hot takes! You can always tweet them at me (@stinaaform)! We can gossip!

Anyway, back to my content from the first episode:

ALSO, for her to meet her husband night one? The second she set her eyes on him? I'd be pissed, not gonna lie. All those guys watching last night probably felt really stupid about how they acted the entire season after they saw Dale get out of the limo.

Can we talk about the Tyler C. and Yosef drama? I'm pretty upset at the way the cookie crumbled here

Do I think Tyler C. was really trying to stir up trouble? No? Not really. I think it was really big of him to pull him to the side and want to talk about it. I think Yosef handled it really badly, not going to lie. This did not need to go down night one, and he most definitely didn't need to get Clare involved and tear her away from a very important night. That's not how you want to spend your time buddy. Bummed we didn't get to see more of Tyler C. either, I thought he was cute, and he was repping Appalachia! Maybe we'll get Grocery Joe arc out of him, but probably not. Not sure if Clare did the right thing here.

As for the first kiss, can't believe Blake slid in there like that!

It definitely shows that he cares because he reached out to her before the show even though that was against the rules. He also didn't really catch my eye, to be honest. But he's promising.

Oh, Dale. I like him!

His limo entrance wasn't that impressive, though, so I'm thinking they somehow met before the show but how could they because of the pandemic? Something's fishy there.

From station wagons to Rolls Royces, the limo entrances this season let me down, honestly. The one I can't erase from my brain, unfortunately, is the fartbox one. Geez oh (pilot) Pete.

Overall, this is a really promising group of guys! I'm very interested to see how his season plays out ... and to see Tayisha! Miss that sweetheart.

Anyway, that's this week's recap! See you in a couple of weeks with more detailed content!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
