'The Bachelor' Winter Games Are Coming And We Are So Here For It

Maybe we can all forgive ABC for not making Peter 'The Bachelor' now...

'The Bachelor' Winter Games Are Coming And We Are So Here For It

In case you haven't heard, ABC is launching another Bachelor spin-off. That's right, in addition to Arie Luyendyk's upcoming season of The Bachelor, fans will be treated to double the fun, double the drama, and (hopefully!) double the love this winter.

While an official premiere date hasn't been announced, here's what we know:

Winter Games will be a competition series, loosely based on The Olympic Winter Games.

Contestants from past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons will compete in various Olympic challenges, and will have the chance to find love again (or you know, to extend their contracts with HelloFresh and Sugar Bear Hair Gummies).

The series presents a new twist: not only will contestants from The Bachelor U.S. be featured, but there will also be contestants from international versions of the show, such as Japan and Canada.

But perhaps the best news to come from ABC about this new series is that Peter Kraus, the runner-up on Rachel Lindsay's season has been officially confirmed as the first contestant! Even though many of us wanted to see him as The Bachelor, we couldn't be more excited to see Peter (and hopefully many more fan favorites, *cough, cough* Kristina) return to our TVs this winter.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
