Most Awkward Moments of the 2017 Golden Globes

Whether you like to admit it, we all can't help but laugh when seemingly perfect celebrities find themselves in the same awkward situations as us, except in front of hundreds of people.

Most Awkward Moments of the 2017 Golden Globes

There's no denying that many of us look forward to award season the way other people might anticipate the Superbowl. Watching the Oscars, the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and most importantly, the red carpet pre-shows is not only full of our favorite celebs in gorgeous dresses. The real reason we tune in is to watch the unavoidable awkward award show moments that make the 3 hour long show worth it. For anyone who missed this year's Golden Globes, here's a list of the most uncomfortable moments from pre-show interviews to incredibly cheesy presenter banter.

1. Michael Keaton announces Octavia Spencer's nomination for 'Hidden Fences'.

Whilst presenting the nominees for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, Michael Keaton combined the title of Octavia Spencer's film 'Hidden Figures' with 'Fences', another film up for awards. Definitely not the best time to mix up the name of the films.

2. Emma Stone interrupts a hug between 'La La Land' director Damien Chazelle and his wife.

She reacted immediately acknowledging the awkwardness of the situation. Would it really be an awards show if someone didn't awkwardly try to congratulate an award winner and get rejected? (Let us not forget Oprah's attempt to high five Common after his Oscar win last year.)

3. Jimmy Fallon fumbles through the start of his opening monologue with the help of the Teleprompter following his disappointing opening number. As much as I wanted the song and dance to be funny, it just seemed forced and overdone. It made for a bit of a rough start to the show.

4. Christian Slater reacts to Tom Hiddleston's speech about members of Doctors Without Borders binge watching The Night Manager. His face says it all.

5. Sofia Vergara's joke falls flat.

She mixed up the line "annual tradition" with a less appropriate tradition. Those who were not actually watching the show can use their imaginations to fill in the blank. Most people in the audience and watching from home were confused why the writers chose to include the joke and how it fit in to what she was presenting.

Let us all be thankful for the annual laughs, awkward encounters and memorable fashion that the Golden Globes provide, and keep counting down the days until we can pick a part the Oscars.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
