Are You Aware Of Animal Testing?

Other animals feel just as much as we do, so why would we voluntarily fund their suffering?

The general public buys products every single day that are tested on animals before being deemed fit for sale. Innocent animals are used and abused for our "benefit". Are you aware that you're contributing to their suffering? Or do you just not care? I know that I was not aware about animal testing for the longest time, but then I became an avid internet surfer. Once you have the knowledge, you have the power to make a difference. Every penny spent on products tested on animals is another penny the company can use to torture another animal. It doesn't matter if you're not doing it directly, you're funding the process, which is nearly just as awful. Without the funding and with the backlash from former customers, companies can and will change to please the public. The companies that test on animals are nothing without our money.

When buying products, be aware of the labels. Products that aren't tested on animals almost always have "Not Tested On Animals" printed somewhere on the product container. If it doesn't, a quick Google search can tell you. Soaps, laundry detergents, hair products, pesticides, perfumes and body mists, shaving cream, deodorant, sun screen, etc., could all be tested on animals. Keep in mind that many name brand products do test on animals, but there are many great quality companies and products that don't (click here for the list).

Please don't continue to fund the suffering of innocent animals once you've educated yourself on the matter. I would post some pictures to show you what happens to these animals, but they're much too brutal. Animals have products dripped into their eyes, rubbed on their shaved skin, pumped into their bodies, and more terrible acts all for the sake of what... Beauty? Cleanliness? Whatever the reason, there's no excuse.

Rabbits are most commonly used for all kinds of animal testing, and that is why the cute little bunny is my cover photo. You wouldn't want to contribute to his suffering, would you? You don't want to pay other people to torture him, right? Anyone in their right mind would not consciously contribute to another being's suffering. And don't try to justify testing on animals because you wouldn't want an untested product to harm you. Don't buy products that have harmful or potentially harmful ingredients, and you won't have to worry about that.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
