The end of the fall semester has come. Finals are fresh on everyone's mind, and I am sure that there is some PTSD from the stress of this entire semester. Everywhere I have looked, I have seen nothing except memes of kids completely panicking due to the stress that is inevitable when it comes to college. I know I am not the only student who has contemplated giving up and attempting a career at anything else. However, I am here as that light of hope that this is not the end. Here are my three tips to help you get through the end of this semester with a little less stress in mind.
1. Relax.
The end of the fall semester comes right at the most beautiful time of the year--the holidays. Usually, this is the most stressful time of the year, but it does not have to be. Take this time to kick your feet up and breathe. Don't put a bunch of pressure on the schoolwork due now. Relax and do the best you can. Know what you're able to do, and relax knowing that it's the best you can do.
2. Know that your best is your best.
College comes with a workload that leaves the most of people overwhelmed. However, I learned that my best work would always be the work that I tried my hardest with. Turning in my final assignments, I knew that these assignments would be the best that I could work out. So long as you turn in your best work, there is little argument to what you can do to make it better.
3. You're not a failure just because you fail.
Failure is inevitable sometimes. Despite doing everything you can, there is still a chance of failure. This failure does not equal the end of your life. Just because you mess up does not make you a failure. It means you are not perfect.
Finals bring a kind of stress to college students that are hard to explain. I think the stress derives from knowing that this is your future. Finals season brings a new mood to college students. However, it is important to not stress yourself to a pulp. Remember this is not the end of you, so relax.
