1. The Glorious Change In Leaves
Peak foliage is no joke. Be sure to get out and enjoy the ephemeral beauty. New England radiates with gold, orange, and burgundy shimmers.
2. Fall Fashion
If I had it my way, it would be fall all year round. You can see this in my style. I love wearing burgundy, plum, brown, green, and burnt orange colored clothing. It’s also never too hot in the fall to wear riding boots, bean boots, and Doc Martens. I know, weird combination. I’m a proud Angeleno going to college in New Hampshire. What can I say?
3. Apple Picking
I’m so happy that I’ve already been apple picking twice this fall. There’s nothing like picking an apple fresh off a tree and enjoying its crisp sweetness. Be sure to pick enough apples to make an old-fashioned lattice apple pie and apple crisp. Here’s a photo of my first apple pie I made from scratch. I used the honeycrisp apples I picked. Yum!
4. Pumpkin EVERYTHING
You might as well just say that pumpkin spice is your favorite season. Maybe it’s just me, but I can never have too much pumpkin. Yes, I did celebrate Starbucks' 13th Anniversary of the Pumpkin Spice Latte by ordering it with their pumpkin whipped cream. Yes, I do order my pumpkin spice lattes with two extra pumps of pumpkin #dontjudge. But the most obvious sign that it is fall is when Trader Joe’s stocks up on their pumpkin everything. I’ve had it all—pumpkin tea, pumpkin caramel chocolates, pumpkin biscotti, pumpkin almond milk, pumpkin soup, pumpkin butter, pumpkin chips, pumpkin toaster pastries, pumpkin chai tea, pumpkin yoghurt, pumpkin cereal, and my all time favorite, pumpkin ice-cream. Who knew pumpkins could be so versatile? #sarcasm
5. Cold Autumn Nights
I love getting cozy with a good book and a warm cup of (pumpkin) tea. After a hot and humid summer, it’s refreshing to breathe in the cool, crisp air.
6. Fall Themed Yankee Candles
There’s nothing better than autumnal candles like Spiced Pumpkin, Autumn Leaves, Autumn Wreath, Caramel Apple Cake, Apple Cider, Candied Pecans, Harvest, November Rain, and Cranberry Chutney. There’s even a candle called Crisp Fall Night. You can’t get more seasonal than that!
