It's finally October, meaning autumn has officially begun. It's always been my favorite season of the year, over the warmer seasons of summer and spring. Everyone likes summer because of the no school factor, which I also agree with, but other than that, it's nothing special. Being able to go to the beach is fun and I do love the ocean, but being sweaty and hot all the time gets old fast.
I love the idea of autumn and being able to wear comfy sweaters and hoodies and feel comfortable. I love being able to wear comfy pajamas when I go to bed and sleep under my comforter without feeling too hot. I love being able to wear my fuzzy socks and drink hot chocolate while reading a book.
Autumn also holds the greatest holiday of the year: Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has almost been my favorite holiday. The food, being with my family, and the atmosphere just makes it such an amazing time. Now that I'm in college, I've been looking forward to Thanksgiving even more, as I haven't seen a lot of my family since I've left and I'll be able to spend some time at home.
Yes, of course I get tired of the cold weather all the time, don't we all? No matter what, though, I'll always prefer being cold rather than being hot.
Welcome autumn. You've been missed.
