Colorado's fall time is beautiful: the bright orange and yellow aspen trees everywhere in the mountains, the flash of color in between the great pine trees. There really is nothing like it.
I went to Vail, Colorado, yesterday and the drive was stunning. The creation of God is truly unique and special and I am thankful that God gave it to us.
But, the fall in the Midwest is truly immaculate. Michigan, where I am from, has the reds and oranges and yellows and the Great Tahquamenon Falls.
The fall in the Midwest also last much longer than it does in Colorado. You never know when the first fall of snow will happen in Colorado, but in Michigan, fall lasts about a month and then you know once everything is dead, the snow is coming.
Don't get me wrong, Colorado is an amazing state and although I am from Michigan, Colorado is my favorite by far.
As much as I try to compare the two, I can't. The aspects of each outshine the other. Autumn is my favorite season because anywhere that the leaves change and the air gets crisper, it's a beautiful place to be.
