On March 24, 2018, I went with a couple of friends to Atlanta’s March For Our Lives, and I wasn’t even remotely prepared for the sheer amount of people who showed up. I’ve always been the anti-confrontational one who shies away from strong opinions, but this? This is worth getting yelled at for.

That being said, there were some pretty awesome signs. Don’t you just love people?

1. "Why do you care more about regulating my UTERUS than regulating GUNS?"

2. "NRA: Uh oh, now we WOKE the kids!"

3. "Americans have the right to bear arms? Children have the right to become ADULTS! #neveragain"

4. "Pro-Life Party Logic"

5. "We the children of the United States of America DO NOT FEEL SAFE."

7. "SCHOOL ZONES shouldn't be WAR ZONES!"

8. "How dare you force me to choose between protecting my students and seeing my son again! #NEVERAGAIN"

9. "ARMS should be for HUGGING."

10. "Thoughts and prayers DON'T DO S**T!"

11. " 'When you don't PAY ATTENTION, you're complicit in the death of our democracy.' — David Hogg"

12. "Sending thoughts and prayers to y'all's political careers!

13. "Yes, kids are PACKING. PACKING VOTES! Hear them roar... watch them vote!"

14. "This is not the Wild West or Colonial America! What is the NRA afraid of? Ans: Losing $$$!"

15. "Gen Z, you're doing amazing sweetie."

16. "'Price of freedom' my ass!"

17. "God wasted a good asshole when he put teeth in Trump's mouth!"

18. "Gun owner FOR gun control!"

19. "Save lives, not profits!"

20. "Gun control is patriotic!"

21. "GRANNY IS PISSED"

22. "NRA Sashay Away!"

23. "The revolution is now."

24. "Respect existence or expect resistance"

25. "AM I NEXT?"

26. "I march for those who can't."

27. "I ran past bodies in Vegas, heard the gunfire at UCSB. How many more must die?"

Keep fighting, America. Don't ever let up.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
