Welcome to the second segment of "Meet The Reporter."
Our team of writers at ASU Odyssey will be writing monthly "Meet The Reporters" as an effort to make things fun for our readers and let you get to know us!
When I was in high school, I participated in the tv production program and competed in several competitions throughout my time there. I fell in love with being on camera and being able to report on different things going on around school. Not only did I appear as an anchor, I also held the position of floor and technical director, as well as various other positions in the studio. I quickly realized that this is what I wanted to focus on in college.
Luckily for me, I live in Arizona, so I had the awesome option to go to the Walter Cronkite School. Having a top, if not the top, journalism school only 40 minutes from you is a win-win. I feel like the Cronkite School is a hidden gem that people don't really know about. I mean, when you think of ASU, you think of partying and easy classes, but that's not the case with Cronkite. I have been able to be alongside the best journalism students and learn under the best faculty in the country.
I love being able to tell stories about our community, and being creative with them. Writing has always come natural to me and I love having the opportunity to turn that into my career. Journalism is one of the cornerstones of our society, and I cannot wait to enter the field after college.
