What needs to be addressed if the Sun Devils want to be the powerhouse they say they want to be

3 Problems With ASU Football Right Now

First half defense and offense.

Consistently every game the Sun Devils are slow to get started and don't play with any purpose until later in the second half when it counts, and even so, there are so many simple mistakes that shouldn't be made by a Division 1 Pac-12 Football team. When a team like USC puts up 28 points to 7 in the first quarter it makes you wonder the integrity of the coaching staff and what's actually going on out there. I don't know how you can wait until a team like UCLA has put up 42 points to your 10 and then try to make a comeback in the fourth. College football is exciting, especially seeing a team try to make a comeback from being in a slump all game, but more than anything I like seeing them win. If they could've gotten it together and prepared in the first place their record could've been way better this deep into the season.

Rushing yards and offensive line.

Eno Benjamin is one of the best running backs in the country. Right now their rushing yards are being heavily stifled by opposing teams because the offensive line can never seem to get a lane open for Benjamin. This summer the Sun Devils boasted a senior offensive line, but we're yet to see any huge runs through the middle by Benjamin with support from the line. Other than that, whether it's Daniels or Yellen stepping in, the pocket collapses way too early for the quarterback to make a quick decision. Definitely some improvements need to be made there if they want to see better results when rushing.

Adaptation and preparation.

The major thing that would pain any college football fan is the failure of the coaching staff and coordinators to adapt to the opposing team's setup. I'm talking especially on defense. There is nothing more irritating than seeing the other team do the same plays over and over and the defense not stacking up and watching for it, which is what we constantly see in the ASU defense. Active game preparation is another thing. It's frustrating seeing the Sun Devil defense stand around looking confused as the other team get set and the defense scrambles to match up, or on the opposite side of the ball when you take an offense that has poorly executed plays with under-thrown or over-thrown balls, and receivers not ready for a pass on time.

The bottom line is that if the Sun Devils were to make just little adjustments and put effort into fixing them, they could be a top Pac-12 football team. From a fan's perspective, it's frustrating every week seeing the same mistakes over and over again. There is so much talent in these players that with addressing these key errors they could be the team that they strive to be.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
