ASU Shows defensive improvement against Cal

The Sun Devil's victory over Cal this past weekend proved to be an exciting game brought ASU back into the AP Top 25

ASU Shows defensive improvement against Cal

It was an exciting game in Berkeley last Friday night as the Sun Devils took on the previously ranked #15 Bears. Immediately ASU's defense seemed lengths better than their last game against Colorado. Unfortunately, Cal quarterback Chase Garbers, left the game before the half with a shoulder injury and would not return. Upon further research, Garbers is said to be out indefinitely for the season. A terrible way to start the season, but we hope Garbers shall heal to continue on in his collegiate football career.

The difference between the Sun Devil's defense in this game versus the last, was the readiness and aggression the defense brought. Armani Crosswell in particular, played a great game, with an interception and good coverage throughout. The ASU defensive line wore down on the Bear's offensive line the whole night, with some turnovers and huge pressure in the pocket for Cal's second quarterback, Devon Modster. It's safe to say that they're back on the right track.

ASU quarterback, Jayden Daniels, really seemed to get his footing this game. He played with a lot more precision than what we've seen in games prior. From observation, his allusiveness and field awareness is improving with every play and every missed opportunity is a lesson learned. He's shown potential in not only a great collegiate quarterback as a freshman, but the ability to think on his feet and learn quickly from his experiences on the field. The beginnings of a great quarterback.

With this win, the Sun Devils are back in the AP Top 25 national rankings at the 20th spot currently. The Sun Devil's have a bye this coming weekend and take on the Washington State Cougars in the following week. The Cougars shown major lack in their defense from their previous game with UCLA, making a record for the most points scored in a Pac-12 opener for a combined score of 130, and blowing a 32 point lead over UCLA in that game.

If the Sun Devils continue to play with the same prowess they exhibited in their game against Cal, I suspect they can make a good run for the Pac-12 championship, but there's still a lot of football to be played.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
