I am in my second year of attending a university. I haven't felt this emotional, stressed out or unproductive in my entire life. Everyone that I have talked to who is in their second year feels the same way as well. Collectively, my friends and I have deemed this the "second year slump."
Are you in a "second year slump?" Here are the symptoms:
1. Is this how you respond to everyone who asks how you are doing while you are staring at a pile of textbooks, notebooks, syllabi and random papers scattered over the desk with a ton of empty coffee cups?
2. Are you Rory Gilmore right now?
3. Are you eating your feelings?
4. Are you drinking your feelings?
5. Are you napping unnecessarily?
6. Are you the most unproductive person ever?
Well, if you feel any of these pertain to you, then you are probably in your "second year slump." So how am I coping? Well, I'm not! But how would I like to cope positively?
1.Force myself to follow a study schedule?
2. Drink more water. That's good for you right?
3. Let myself have a good cry when I need it.
And hopefully, things will get back to normal in time.
