The time is here, April is among us. We all have a round one month left in this semester, and that means not many more grades are going in. We have reached the last of the assignments and exams, and the reality has set in that it is up to these last few assignments to either make or break our GPA. I like to call this time "save your GPA month" because everyone is doing whatever they can to get the best GPA they can this semester and I'm sure you do most of these things as well!

1. Extra credit.

If you are lucky enough to have a professor that gives you extra credit opportunities, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE!! This is the time where you frantically get those assignments in so that you can get all of the extra credit points that you can to raise your grades as high as possible.

2. Tutoring.

There's probably a class where you have lesson that you just don't understand no matter how hard you try. You come to the realization that you need a tutor because there is no way that you will understand that content in time. Finals are coming around so go ace that material!!

3. Study sesh 24/7.

You come terms with the fact that you just don't put enough time in (if any) towards studying and learning the material for your classes and thats got to change. Wether it is just an extra 45 minutes a day you spend reviewing the material you have learned or spending a few hours a week in the library, your grades will thank you when you do really well on your exams!

4. Going to office hours.

You have made it so far in the semester and completley forgot about professors having office hours. What better way to get help or tips to get the most out of the rest of the semester than going to your professor directly? Office hours are certainly helpful to get a good relationship with your professor and figure out the best plan to get the best grade in the class!

5. Reading the textbooks.

Okay, this is what NO ONE wants to actually do, but in most cases, you need to. Reading seems like such a waste of time, especially if it is some boring textbook that you spend WAY too much money on. But trust me, it will benefit you to understand the material so that when you go into class, the lecture makes so much more sense!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
