Resources for success are abundant on a college campus, whether it's a tutoring center or counseling service. It's rare to run into problems that your university can't help you resolve.
After spending four years at Arizona State University, a student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism is well equipped for the job industry, but that didn't come without a struggle, nor does it come without a struggle for students belonging to other institutions.
Although there are many bumps in the painfully long and challenging path toward a stronger education, there are tools out there that make the minimal problems disappear.
Here are five apps that are sure to help you get through each semester with a percentage of less stress and more opportunity to grow.
Earnin

Working in a position where the money is needed faster than it can be issued out (on paydays) is the setup for someone to download Earnin. This finance tool allows you to be paid before payday.
Yes, you read that right. After entering an employer and location, the app can register hours worked by a user and payout what they'd like (up to $100.) When payday comes around the app simply reimburses itself and the cycle can continue.
There is also a generous "paying it forward" mechanic that incorporates an effort in paying it forward for another user. The app Earnin is beneficial for students who have to or choose to work throughout college.
Part-time jobs most often mean long hours and minimum wage. Working with that wage can be gruesome at times, and the same can be said about the long hours and monthly bills.
LastPass

The app is used as a tool to preload usernames and passwords for previously saved websites. Lastpass can be activated on multiple devices.
This makes synchronization a breeze when logging into frequented websites while moving from desktop to mobile device to laptop and more!
Rather than have a complex system of creating passwords repeatedly, or shamefully using the same one across different sites, the app will remove ever having to (Does LastPass generate passwords?)
Otter

While there are a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to coffee and energy drinks on campus, these choices do all but help you remember what your professor covered on a specific date's lectures verbatim.
With Otter, an in-app recording or imported audio can be transcribed with surprisingly accurate results. With permission, this recording app can be extremely useful both during lectures and interviews (since I go to a journalism school,) and can even help you launch a podcast career!
The power and ease of turning what you heard into what you can read only after a couple of seconds is an astounding resource to have on hand anywhere on your college journey.
Scannable

This app makes your favorite point and click camera into a PDF scanning and exporting machine! A digital scanning app is a must-have in any student's phone given the importance of timeliness and submitting assignments electronically in college.
Additionally, it helps with decluttering space and making the most out of minimalism! It's beating a dead horse to mention the state of the digital world today and its continuous evolution, but if any educated professional wants to keep up, they'll transfer all their documents in the cloud and free up that junk/receipt/elementary principles list certificate drawer and do so with this app.
Evernote

Last and least to no one is the multiplatform notetaking app, Evernote. Their simple aesthetic, paired with a sweet touch of green in their design, make notetaking a peaceful getaway on this app. Even more enjoyable is using their search function to sift through all that is unnecessary and find what you need.
Evernote made scratch notes, dream journals, story ideas, and homework todo lists all come together in a form that is more accessible than others out there, Google docs included. Their mobile app is painless to navigate and encourages the use of provided templates to fill out for all of your writing endeavors.
