We all make new years resolutions, but has anyone actually kept one? Probably not.

Of course we start the year saying we're going to run a 5k or spend less money, but it can be difficult to follow through with it. Luckily, we all have a piece of technology in our pockets to help us stay on track. Download your favorite or download them all!

1. Zombies, Run!

Ready to get your fitness on? Zombies, Run! is a fun, immersive game to get you off the couch and saving lives. This story-based activity app will have you running to collect supplies, rescue survivors and defend homes. There are different missions to complete, each fitted with a new task and some jamming music to keep you going. Who knew a running app could be this fun?

2. Headspace

If you are living life in the fast lane, it's time to download an app to help you slow down every once in awhile. Headspace is a user-friendly, habit building mediation app. You can start with day-to-day basics or sit down during one of the mini mediation sessions. There are also specialized sessions to focus on what you need such as stress relief of increase of sleep.

3. Tasty

Ready to be the chef you've always dreamed of? Tasty is a brightly colored cookbook right in your phone. Each recipe comes with a how-to video you can follow along. You can save your favorite recipes for later or use them right there. You can adjust the recipes you will see based on your diet (dairy free, vegetarian) and get recommendations. There is also a feature that lets you search recipes based on speed, social plans, and ingredients.

4. Mint

We all want to travel the world, skydive, and pay off student loans. A budgeting app is a great way to begin the process. Mint is a multi-purpose budgeting app to help you stay on track with savings, spending and income.

5. Canva

If you've been itching to start a blog, YouTube channel, or small business-- Canva is one of the coolest apps out there for professional graphics. It can also help boost your social media game and create amazing graphics. Create a business card, social media banner, logo, flyer, presentation, and more! It's almost not fair that this app is free for how nice the designs you can make in seconds are.

6. 1 Second Everyday: Video Diary

Capture your year with a one second video clip every day. Make every day this year worth filming, whether it's a big adventure or a sentimental moment. This app complies all your videos, allowing you to edit and adjust to create the ultimate year recap.

7. Duolingo

Why not learn a new language? Duolingo is the perfect app to pick up a new language on the go. I downloaded this app last year and used it all the time instead of checking my social medias in my spare moments. Set goals and it reminds you to reach them! I sometimes surprise myself with how much French I have picked up using this app. Although this app would 1000% better if it had Mandarin Chinese.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
