The Thanksgiving Holiday season has officially arrived and it's time to start thinking about a few important things. Oh, you know... what you're going to eat this year, what family members you're going to visit, what quick errands you need to run while in town, what football games to watch, and, most importantly, what the hell you're going to do with all this new free time. That's right. You've been kept busy week after week all semester with a constant drip of assignments, tests, and projects, but now you have a chance to unwind a bit before the tsunami that is ~*Finals Week*~ arrives. I'll help you out, don't worry. Here are five simple, enjoyable, and sometimes social apps that will carry you through the week's end and allow you to enjoy your downtime this Thanksgiving break to the fullest. Here's the breakdown:
1. Words With Friends
WWF is an absolute, timeless classic that needs a spot on your phone again. It's been around for many years, yet has faded into obscurity. Snag this app again because I promise you there's at least one more week of enjoyment to juice out of it.
2. Quiz Up
You may not have heard about this one before, so let me give you the run down. Basically you open up the app and select topics that interest you, then you're immediately thrown into super fast quiz style rounds with complete strangers, or with friends. It's like Kahoot or Tophat, but for fun.
3. Trivia Crack
Trivia Crack is like Quiz Up on crack. Same concept of topical trivia-based entertainment, however it's hugely focused on friends and ranks. It's the king of trivia apps and should be the king of your Thanksgiving break.
4. Solitaire
Look - let's be honest right now: Solitaire is a tried and true card game. You can play it on your phone, computer, or even with a deck or cards. There are many variations worth trying out, too, so do a little exploring when picking your favorite Solitaire game.
5. Snapchat
Before anyone else. I know it's already on your phone and already something you check when time lulls. i recommend you give some of the Discover content a chance this Thanksgiving break, or dive deeper into Snapchat's Live Story experience by swiping up to Explore when viewing a featured story.
