I have been an Apple enthusiast my entire life. I received my first ever MacBook in fifth grade for Christmas, and it was such a memorable moment. I loved that computer, but it would only last four years, as I soon found out Apple products are not always made to last.
I love Apple, but sometimes I cannot deal with the relatively short lifetimes of their uber-expensive products.
Here I am writing this article from my brand new MacBook Pro, even though my other MacBook Pro was working perfectly fine 48 hours ago. Well, here's how the story goes, my computer died from loss of battery and then it would never turn back on. I took it to the "Genius Bar" only for an Apple Genius to tell me my computer would cost $475 to repair and that it was not worth it because of the "age" of my MacBook.
My computer was only four years old, which as a consumer, I feel is not that old for a very expensive computer.
I was left crushed from the diagnosis of my MacBook Pro and made the decision to buy another MacBook Pro because I need a computer in college.
You may be wondering why I'd buy another after I've just complained how Apple's products are not made to last. Well, I love Apple and their products, I just wish they lasted longer.
So yeah, it's a love-hate relationship.
