Another Open Letter To My Suitemates

Why are we this way?

Well, here it is folks. You didn't ask for it, but one of my suitemates requested it. Here is another open letter to my suitemates and an update on what this year has been like so far.

Dear Beehive,

Y'all are crazy. Yeah, I said it. First of all, we are called the beehive for one. How we got the name is already strange enough, thanks to you queen bee, but I cry at the fact that we named our suite the beehive of all things.

We are weirdos and one of a kind for sure. People ask me why do you guys call yourselves the beehive? Man, they are in for a treat when we tell them the tale of how.

Second of all, we are too rowdy for our own good. It's actually incredible how we manage to keep our grades up while still have the best times of our lives week after week. You know what I mean.

Third, we bump to songs like Molly Cyrus and know almost the entire first verse by heart. If you haven't heard this song or seen the video, look up Molly Cyrus by Stitches. I promise you your life won't be the same after. Seriously.

The fact that that's one of our favorite songs is so weird. I don't even know what the heck is up with us. Bodak Yellow is okay too, but Molly Cyrus is the level beyond levels we take it too.

Lastly, we are actual hoarders of food from Hoco, specifically vegan cookies.

However, through all this weirdness and craziness that we do. We always manage to have a good time and be in good spirits. We yell at each other to work hard but play harder. We encourage each other to make poor decisions but always have each other's back if the outcome is terrible.

We laugh, we yell, we scream, and I wouldn't change any of you weirdos for anything. We take care of each other, we feed each other, and we are unique. You guys are some of my best friends, and I really will miss everyone when we go our separate ways. Until then, I love you all and I can't wait to see what will happen the rest of this year!

Love,

Swole Boy

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
