I have never been in a relationship on Valentine's Day... Well, one year I kind of was until I got dumped in the afternoon (worst Valentine's Day ever, may I add). Some people get really depressed being "all alone" on the day of love and feel hopeless, but being single is nothing to be ashamed of! In fact, there are a lot of single people out there.
This year is going to be another Galentine's Day for me, and maybe it is for your too - and that is 100% okay. It doesn't mean that you are going to be forever alone. It doesn't mean that you are unattractive or have a bad personality. You haven't found the right person yet. Please, don't be pessimistic and get down on yourself.
You don't need a boy to make my world go around: enjoy having the freedom to pursue your interests and define who you are as a person.
You don't need a boy to buy you chocolates: you are a strong, independent woman and can buy your own chocolates anytime you want!
You don't need a boy to buy you flowers: you ARE a beautiful flower - so make yourself bloom!
You don't need a boy to take you out to a fancy dinner: you can cook your own fancy dinner or go out with some of your friends who are also single.
Like I said, being single is nothing to be ashamed of. If you don't have a significant other on Valentine's Day, use the time for some self love - pamper yourself a little! Please, don't let a made up holiday destroy your self esteem. Instead of focusing on your flaw, be confident in who you are!
