Fans have waited almost 10 years for this reunion.
Everyone was highly anticipating the return of their favorite Stars Hollow residents leading up to A Year in the Life, however they were left hanging and in a state of confusion. Needless to say, we need more episodes! Fans weren't satisfied with this reunion for several reasons, but here are the big topics of discussion for those who aren't happy with the four episodes that were given.
***Spoiler Alert***
1. Logan and Rory
Fans rejoiced when Logan and Rory appeared to be back together. However, their spirits were crushed to find that they were only having an affair in London behind his Fiance's back. We lost a little respect for Rory for being the other woman, but at the same time, were so frustrated by the fact that despite the love between the two of them, they would not end up together.
2. Lorelai goes on a hiatus
Lorelai and Luke finally made it, and she decides that now is the opportune time to lose herself in the mountains of California? She leaves for weeks trying to find herself, leaving Luke in the dark and under the impression that she was leaving him.
3. Rory and Jess
Jess always had such an emotional effect on Rory, however this time around, she wasn't phased by him in the slightest, and he didn't even try to make a significant impression on her. However, the way that he looked at her in the last scene he was in made us all wonder about what would happen between them, as it was clear that he was still in love with her.
4. What was up with Luke and Lorelai's wedding?
To be honest, it was weird. It seemed like a strange dream. Of course, we expected the wedding to be anything but conventional, but it didn't do their love any justice. I personally thought it was a dream and then realized that it was actually their real wedding. It left fans sitting there asking themselves, "what did I just watch?"
5. The last four words.
The last four words of the show is a conversation between Rory and Lorelai:
Rory: "Mom?"
Lorelai: "Yeah?"
Rory: "I'm pregnant."
Fans everywhere: WHAT?!
This confession shocked everyone and leaves us questioning, who is the father? Is it Logan, considering the fact that he was really the only person Rory was consistently with? Or is it Jess, running with the possible foreshadowing longing look he gave her at the end of the last episode?
With all of these issues we had with the revival, it raises the biggest question of all:
Will we get our questions answered, or will we be left to form our own conclusions?
