Well, you did it.
You made it this far, just one more year until ... you're gone. Just like that.
We've been waiting for this day for years. Since that first day of freshman year, we've been waiting for the moment we would be crowned seniors, but now, the moment kinda sucks.
You've pushed through three years of hell, homework, teacher, events, AP testing and all the drama, and now you're sitting here remembering all the laughs. All the spontaneous adventures with your friends, all the times you stayed up late talking to a boy you liked or the stupid decisions like pulling an all-nighter to finish the project.
I'm in the same boat. Worrying about where to apply for college, worrying about if my grades are gonna be good enough to get in to where I wanna attend, but that's all things you can't change. Instead of focusing about all the stress associated with this upcoming year of new beginnings, focus on all the fun you'll have. Take pictures, be silly, hang out with your friends as much as possible because before you know it, it'll be over.
It'll be graduation day before you blink, as well as the excitement of receiving the diploma, along with the bittersweet reality that this may be the last time you see some of your friends for a while. You'll all be heading in different directions, running and reaching for your dreams and that's OK.
High school is a different experience for all of us. But you'll always remember your best friends. The ones who always had your back whether it was the knowledge of great news or the depression of heartbreak.
Good luck. Take senior year by storm.
