If you're someone who works out, and you haven't been seeing any changes whatsoever in yourself, here's a few things I want you to know.

It is completely okay to not see a difference right away; in fact, it's normal. You shouldn't be losing weight so quickly that you look like a different person in a week. It can take weeks, even months to see a visible difference in yourself. But, the other changes in your body will be awesome too, because being healthy isn't all about weight loss. Things like better skin, better sleep, and even a better mood are all benefits of working out.

Health isn't just running. There are lots of benefits to weightlifting. While cardio helps you burn fat quicker, having muscle underneath the fact can help you burn the fat from the inside out (it won't be a huge difference but it does help). The biggest misconception among the female community is that you'll get shredded if you weight lift, and that's just not true. You won't get shredded unless that's your goal.

Diet is important too. Look, as much as no one wants to admit it, you can't eat McDonald's all the time or have a Starbucks Caramel Macchiato every day and lose weight; it's just really not possible. You also can't live on celery. A healthy lifestyle is about balance, or trade off. You can have pasta and not be a bad person, but it's important you're not choosing pasta all the time. Another thing is that your body runs on carbs, so make sure you're not following those no carb fad diets, because long term those can be really detrimental to your health.

It takes 12 weeks to make a habit. You can quit anything in 12 weeks, and you can start something in 12 weeks. Even if it feels like crossing an ocean every day you work out, just know that you are one step closer to creating a habit.

And most importantly, when you feel like giving up, or tell yourself that you don't have to do it, that you're fine the way you are, ask yourself why you even started in the first place, because chances are, you started for a reason, so keep going for the same reason!

Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. The journey to a healthy life is a bumpy and long one, but it's worth it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
