To The Obama Family,

I feel as if I’ve gotten to know you pretty well these past eight years. Through these past eight years, I’ve grown into an adult, and you’ve broken multiple stereotypes and gross limitations society has set on our country - equally as challenging feats.

However, I am not here to remember the triumphs we’ve endured together. I am here to beg.

President Obama, First Lady Michelle, PLEASE do not leave our country. In a matter of days, possibly even a lack of - as by the time you read this the election may have already passed, our country will be in quite possibly the worst state it has ever been in. We will be alone, and desperate. We have endured too much in these past eight years for you to leave us in such a state, right?

Sure, you can argue that the constitution states that you can only serve two terms as president - but Michelle, yes girl I’m looking at you, is just as qualified and is already equally as loved. Our country is dying for our first female president, so why don’t we make it someone who encompasses our country’s values, and doesn’t happen to delete thousands of emails.

We also know that if we elect her, our mothers, daughters, and wives won’t run the risk of our president sexually assaulting and harassing them. I mean, I think if Michelle was into that, at least you’d know by now; but, judging by the fact that the two of you have kept a healthy, and loving relationship, I see no reason why she’d find the need to even look at someone else - let alone comment on their appearance.

I bet all the people who criticized you for your work as our President and as our First Lady are looking at their ballots right now, thinking: “What mess have I gotten into?” Because, the truth of the matter is, that if they didn’t realize you were the best thing to happen to us since John F. Kennedy stood with Martin Luther King Jr. to make a positive change within this country, they are certainly realizing it now.

I mean, honestly, who is looking at the upcoming election thinking: ‘So blessed to have the man who legalized gay marriage, lowered gas prices, stopped war in Afghanistan, protected Planned Parenthood, and so much more, STEPPING DOWN SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A SOMEONE WHO IS THREATENING TO SURROUND OUR COUNTRY WITH A WALL POSSIBLY TAKE OFFICE.”

So please, President Obama, First Lady Michelle, your country needs you, your people need you - please, stay.

Walking through D.C will never be the same without you, I hope you think of that when you get sworn out of office.
