You are a force to be reckoned with. You have strategically planned out how you want your life to run, who you want in it, and your expectations from yourself and others. However, the world and people in it are constantly changing. That doesn’t sit well with you, but that’s ok. The changes and obstacles that come through life are only normal and healthy.

You might fail a class, but that is OK, you will retake it and learn more by doing so. It might make you a little late to graduate, but it will give you more time to breathe and get you the education you need. It is not a race.

You might have friends that are constantly busy and seem like they don’t have time for you when you have purposely made time for them in your hectic schedule. That is OK, this is when you take a chill pill and take that time for yourself. Take a bath, read a book, go eat by yourself, watch a movie, or sleep! You can’t beat sleep.

You might experience family troubles that can be disheartening, but know that every family has their own struggles, hardships, and imperfections. That is OK, because your family will always be your family and you will all carry the load together.

You might also encounter a boy or two that seems to be what you are looking for, but claims that they don’t know what they want. In this case, that is more than OK, that is GREAT, because that right there tells you to move on. The guy for you is still out there and knows what they want, and that is you. Don’t get hung up on people that will only waste your time.

With this in mind, take all the different turns in life with a grain of salt. You are determined, passionate, and strong. Don’t let the tribulations of this world take away from the aspirations you have for yourself. Let them grow you into a stronger person and keep your chin up. Only the best awaits you if you continue your journey.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
