I can never thank you enough.

I'm so thankful that we had Spanish I together our Junior year of high school. What started as just a school friendship, has blossomed into so much more. You're honestly one of the best things to ever happen to me, and I appreciate you more than words could ever describe.

You're always there for me. You've been with me for some of the best and worst moments in my life. You're the person I want to call whenever I receive news, good or bad. You constantly continue to support me in every decision I make even if it means us spending a little less time together.

Thank you for being so good to my family. My siblings think you hung the moon and my mama's pretty fond of you, too. You always take time to play with the kids for a little while, even when I know they're getting on your nerves. You've accepted them as your own family, and nothing makes me happier than that.

I'm sorry I'm a brat sometimes. I know that I'm a handful and sometimes a lot to handle, but you never let that get to you. I know I can be mean, especially when I'm hungry. I'm sorry that I'm stubborn sometimes. I'm sorry that I embarrass you in public sometimes, but I know you secretly love it when I do dumb things like hula-hoop or ride on buggies in stores.

Thank you for the many Outback dates, even though I know that you're probably tired of it by now. Thank you for all of the jam sessions in the car and while I'm getting ready to go out somewhere. Thank you for always sending me every song, TikTok, meme, etc. that makes you think of me.

Thank you for listening to all of my rants. Sometimes you give me the best advice, and sometimes you make me feel better just by listening to me.

Thank you for always making me smile. Even on my worse days, you can never fail to make me laugh/smile. You always remember the little things about me, and that means more to me than you will ever know.

Finally, thank you for simply being you. You bring so much happiness to my life. You always allow me to be my weird self, and you still love me anyway. You're my best friend and I can't wait to spend many more years with you. I love you always.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
