Dear Student.
Congrats on getting accepted to college and starting your college career.
As you begin your college career wondering around the halls of campus or your classes, you begin to notice a pattern.
You realize that you are an outsider, despite where you are whether it be the dining hall, dorms, classes, library etc. You feel awkward when certain topics arise in classrooms or in your social life with your friends. At times at the end of your day you sit back and reflect, and feel like you don't belong in your community community. You feel as though the majority of people don't understand what you been through or seen in your life and you are against all odds.
You wish some of your childhood friends from your hometown where here with you.
However, I am here to say to please NOT give up. Yes, you may be an outsider but on the brighter side you can see it as an advantage because you can be a role model for others and start your own trend.
You are a leader and usually leaders start a legacy all on their own.
Using that feeling of loneliness can be used as an opportunity at your school to start a club or movement because I'm pretty sure there are others who feel the same way. You can be voice for others, all it takes is one step. This is your time to shine and whenever you hit a bump along the road, just know you are a leader is going to leave a trail for others for future generations. I wish you prosperity, hope, and determination.
Sincerely,
Someone who is in your shoes
