This past week a video was released of you saying you were “Rooting against Clemson”. Your reason? The fans on social media. Apparently, you feel that the fans are jerks for the things they say on social media about the football team, and coaches. You also said that these “fans” were tweeting that they wished the football team acted like they represented the school and the coaches as well.

Yes, they may have tweeted these things but that doesn’t mean that you must bash Clemson and root against them because of something on social media. Sometimes fans get worked up and type things they don’t mean but whether said or not, I know one thing for sure that the Clemson football team and the coaches represent Clemson University so dang well.

Clemson has the BEST fan base in College Football. You should come to Clemson one Saturday and see all the cars parked with tailgates, and a stadium filled with 80,000 Clemson fans then get back with me on how you’re rooting against Clemson because of the few fans that tweet on social media. Obviously, they’re not fans if they tweet that and obviously, they don’t watch the incredible things that team does and the coaches do to represent Clemson in the best possible way.

I don’t really care who you “root” for but when you stand there and talk trash about Clemson fans, someone is going to say something. Especially when you mock the way people say “Clemson.” We live in the South, we say CLEMSON like it’s got a “P”, not a “Z.” So, your little mock wasn’t cute even though you probably thought it was.

My point is I think it is ridiculous to root against a football team because of what some “fans” tweeted on social media. That’s like saying you don’t like Chick-fila anymore because someone said tweeted they thought the workers should represent Chick- fila better. That just sounds absurd.

I know a bunch of people that were upset over what you said. It wasn’t the entire fan base that tweeted these things especially those fans that spend every Saturday in Death Valley from dawn til dusk. Feel free to come spend a day in Clemson for a home football game, I hope you love every minute. Go Tigers!
